About

I believe we are never too old, too late, too broken, too successful, too tired, or too far down the road to begin again.

Always Starting began as a personal blog about resilience and the art of never giving up. Over time, it has become something more: a place to reflect on life, leadership, reinvention, courage, confidence, and the lessons we collect when the road does not go exactly as planned.

I’m Lori — a wife, mother, grandmother, writer, and hospitality executive. My life and career have taught me that starting over is rarely neat. Sometimes it is exciting. Sometimes it is humbling. Sometimes it is forced on us. But almost always, it becomes the place where we discover who we are becoming next.

Professionally, I have spent my career leading teams, building strategy, navigating change, and helping people see what is possible when clarity, accountability, and courage come together. Personally, I have learned that the same principles apply outside of work: keep moving, stay honest, choose growth, and never confuse a hard chapter with the end of the story.

This site is where those worlds meet.

Here, I write about resilience, reinvention, leadership, family, change, perseverance, and the courage to begin again — even when beginning again was not the plan.

Thank you for being here.

Always starting,

Lori
